Today, friends of our who live down the street from us moved out. While we are used to this in the Army, it doesn't make it any easier to say good-bye to good friends. We had a lot in common with the Gibbons family, as they had a girl, and a boy, and are having their third baby, a girl, in April. Both of the older kids are the exact same ages as our kids, making playdates very easy. Plus, they lived a couple of houses down, so daily trips to the park, etc. were very easy. Our housing area is pretty empty right now, so it was really nice having some other kids, kids the same age, nearby. Even Amy and Jason had a similar story to ours...they met in college and married after. Our adventures took us to Ft. Lauderdale and North Carolina before bringing us to Yuma. Theirs took them to Washington St. and Guam. With husbands obsesssed about hunting anything, Amy and I would just stand back and shake our heads. Farewell, friends. Good luck in Montana at the Air Force base. We'll miss you.
Saturday, I was on kid-duty, as Edward helped load the moving truck...thanks guys for making my husband realize that we can NEVER move ourselves again with three kids. Professional moves are the only way we'll ever be able to move again, especially with these crazy cross-country moves!
