Outer Banks-What we did on Sunday

by Madison and Luke

Sunday was the worst weather we had while on vacation, and even it wasn't too bad. A tropical storm moved in, and heavy rains were forecast. Well, the weathermen were off, as they sometimes are. We had a lot of wind, and it looked like it would rain all day, but the rain wasn't too bad. We managed to find a few things to do.

We woke up Sunday morning to the tropical storm. That meant that t.v. stations were in the area to report. Mommy and Daddy's favorite news channel, FOX NEWS, was at our hotel!!! They stayed two floors up from us and were broadcasting throughout the day. Here they are waiting for a broadcast from the pavillion.

We would watch them setup on the beach and then tune in to Fox News...here's a broadcast.

After awhile, we made our way to the NC Aquarium. Luke LOVED the otters, and he giggled and giggled as they swam by. Madison got interested and fell in love with them too. We spent most of our time at the otter tank.

The shark tank was pretty cool too.

Luke wasn't impressed with the sharks. We had to stop back at the otter tank for him.

After an afternoon at the aquarium and a full bottle...

Wathing sharks and otters wears you out!

After our naps, we had to hit the pool. First, Madison tried to hit Luke!

Yup, he's still there.

Our favorite crab float bit the dust, so we had to find something for Luke to enjoy while at the pool.

Surprise, surprise to all of us that Madison LOVES her lifejacket.

Luke felt the hottub was just what he needed.

This was as close to the pool as Madison would get-who knows why.

Madison made it very clear this was her stroller, even when Luke was supposed to be using it.

Luke was willing to give up the stroller if it meant Mommy holding him.
