Flagstaff
We have been trying to go to Flagstaff for a few weeks. We were able to go a year ago at Christmas and had a blast. The last few weeks, work has gotten in the way for Edward, and one weekend, the weather was too warm in Flagstaff for winter fun. We finally were able to go this past weekend, and we had a great time. The kids really enjoyed the snow, and we were fortunate enough to get a foot of snow the Saturday evening we were there...they already had about 30 inches on the ground. Flagstaff is about five and a half hours from our house, and a change in altitude of almost at sea-level (here) to over 7500 feet (Flagstaff).
We stayed at our favorite hotel, the Embassy Suites. The kids were so excited to get their snowsuits on.
The first day we went to Fort Tut Hill, Luke Air Force Base's Recreation Area. It wasn't a great sledding area, but we still had a good time. Luke was very excited to wear his Buzz Lightyear hat.

Alex really liked the snow and kept wanting to face plant in it. The coldness of it didn't seem to bother him, but after an hour or so each day, he got pretty tired and ready for a nap.
