These are the cactus varieties that sit just to the side of our house. The one on the left is in bloom, something it will only do for a couple of weeks. As far as desert beauty, this is the prettiest time of the year, but the recent heat should kill that off pretty soon. The last few days, the high temps have been right at 100.
