Saturday morning, we walked down to the parade ground for the post Easter Egg Hunt. It was a beautiful morning for the egg hunt, but it was extremely windy! The jackets on the kids were only needed for the wind; it got up over 90 later in the day.

Madison was the only one brave enough to get close to the "scary" Easter Bunny.

The kids were broken into age groups, with the 0-2 year olds getting to go first. We had a tough call whether to put Luke with the 0-2 year olds or the 3-5 year olds. They announced the 3-5 year olds couldn't have help, and we also figured that Luke stopping to look at each egg would bode better for the younger kid set...the older kids are fierce with their hunting. So, Luke went in the first group. Alex was elgible for it too, but he opted to sit in the stroller and hang out.
Case in point...Luke proudly showed off the eggs he found.
Okay, so Edward was with Luke while I stayed with Alex and Madison. Luke's basket got SO full that he, on his own, started putting the eggs in his pockets!
Success!
Madison took her place at the starting line for the 3-5 hunt.
She's a pro.

We had to sit down and check all the eggs for the hidden winner coupons. Instead of a raffle type setting, "1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place" papers were put into random eggs. If you got one in your egg, you won a prize. Ironically, both Luke and Madison found eggs with "2nd Place." See below for their winnings...
Madison won this HUGE bunny. She was in love with it. Luke won this golf set, which he has enjoyed at home ever since. Here, Madison is tired of Alex looking away and is trying to hold his head forward for a good picture.
Yea! They are all looking!
Alex enjoyed the effort his siblings put forth. Holding the eggs=priceless.

We used to have that golf set until the dog ate it. Hope they enjoy it.
The kids look so cute! I'm thrilled that the Easter Baskets are still in use (let me know if I need to get one for Alex). I love the picture of the kids on the lawn when Alex finally decided to look forward. It looks like they had a great time.
