Back to School

Today marked Madison's first day of school here in Arizona. She's been on a wait list since February at two different preschools, and she finally got a spot at the one here on post. Today is her first day, and it's also the first day for the public schools here. So, while she went to the preschool, all the little kids were pouring into the elementary school across the street. She asked when she was going to the "big kid" school, and I told her two more years. She likes the "big kid" school because it's next door to Daddy's clinic, as opposed to acrosss the street! She seemed excited for her first day, and I just feel so blessed that things finally worked out. She's been really wanting to go to school all summer, even since preschool ended in North Carolina. I'm so glad something opened up for her. Hopefully, she'll make some nice friends and enjoy preschool as much as she did in NC. It's a daily ritual to ask where Kalea, Cassandra, Nolan, Mak, and Ava all are...and, then she responds with, "They are in North Carolina, and Ava is in Texas." Well, at least she seems to understand that.On the front porch...of course we needed a picture with our cactus plant...picked out by Madison.

My big girl-this year we are finally interested in wearing hair accessories. She's never been that interested until now.

Congrats on the preschool! John doesn't start until September. We are still hoping for a different one but at least he is one. He also asks about his friends, especially when it has to do with Chick-fil-a, Chuck E. Cheese, the jump place, and other places we frequented together.

Isn't it amazing just how much they change in one year? Have fun at preschool, Madison! Preston can't wait until next year when he will start preschool.

Yay! Aunt Mer started school again today, too. Although I wasn't as excited as you probably were. :-) Miss you guys!
