"The Big Boy Class" a.k.a. "The Three-Year-Old Class"

Since our preschool here is year-round, there is never a set day when the kids move up, meaning there is no real "first days." Luke hit a milestone today and moved up a class. The preschool generally tries to move kids up right at their birthday, if a slot is available in the next class. Today was Luke's first day in what he calls, "The Big Boy Class" otherwise known as, "The Three-Year-Old Class."

Luke wasn't scared or nervous about his new class. Our preschool is small enough that all the teachers know all the kids. Plus, Madison started in this class when we moved to YPG, so Luke is used to the teachers from that aspect. Luke already knew several of the kids in the class, some of whom had also just moved up.

So, here's Luke on his first day in his new class:

He was very excited about his orange shorts. He's been asking to wear them for several days. In fact, he picked out his whole outfit. The orange must run in his Clemson Tiger blood. Good choice buddy.
The preschool report was good for his first day in a new class. They said he was extremely polite (Luke is one of the most polite kids, seriously), and they said he was a "ball of energy" on the playground. Yeah, that's no surprise. In fact, that's part of the reason he goes to preschool-to get out some of his energy!

Madison wanted to join in for a photo op. She will not change classes on her birthday. Her next change will be (gulp) kindergarten, starting August 16!
Oh, and today's high was 92 degrees...feelin' hot, hot, hot!

I think I've seen your dad stand like Luke in the second picture. :)
