Sledding on the Sand Dunes-Part 1

We spent Good Friday at the Imperial Sand Dunes, just about 20 min west of Yuma. The sand dunes are huge and a very cool sight on the drive to San Diego. They filmed the Star Wars movies here (remember the 'Imperial Soldiers'). The kids were given sleds for Christmas a year ago by Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Andrew for use in the sand. They live at Death Valley and have seen it done there. So, guys, these are for you :)

We had a great morning, and the weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky, but hey, there's never a cloud in the sky here.

****DISCLAIMER-I am aware that I could have edited these pictures to see the people better/up close, but I like the distance because you can see just how much sand is really there. By the way, I had my 250 zoom all the way in and there was still that kind of distance!****
