Cheesy title, we know, but we couldn't resist. This week, when it didn't seem like things would work out, we were actually able to visit Grandma and Grandpa's house for a couple of days. Different appointments looked like they were going to keep us home, but all of a sudden on Wednesday, things worked out. So, we quickly packed a few clothing items and off we went.
We had a nice visit with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Karen, Lucy, and Desi. Ok, so Aunt Karen is staying with Grandma and Grandpa as Uncle Clay finishes up his last few days in the Army at Fort Drum, and with her, she brought their dog, Lucy, and cat, Desi. So, it was a housefull with four adults, two toddlers, and two pets...not to mention the next-door-neighbor favorite dogs we like to visit too. Anyways, the visit was nice because it broke up the week for Mommy; allowed us to see Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Karen; and it kept our house nice and tidy for showing (although no one has been to it yet-it is taking awhile for the listings to go up).
While at Grandma and Grandpa's house, Grandma and Mommy took us to run errands. The morning began with lunch at McDonalds (okay, so that wasn't Grandma and Mommy's top pick, but they were thinking of us), and then we had to stop at Toys R Us. Now, please know, this was not a Madison and Luke toy trip...Grandma needed to get a baby gift for her next door neighbor, and the Toys R Us is also a Babies R Us. While there, we did get a fantastic thing...two humpback whales. Whales, you might ask??? Really? Well, they were right near the checkout, and Luke fell in love with them. Mommy has trained him right though, because the whales were on sale for $.90 from $8.99! The whales are huge-about 16 inches long, and we LOVE them. Luke didn't let go of it in his carseat, and then again on the drive back home tonight, he held tight to it while he cried out of exhaustion. So, Grandma splurged and got a whale for each of us.
Thanks, Grandma. We LOVE our whales! We had a great time visiting Wilmington and hanging out with all of you.
One of the humpback whales (obviously it's not Luke's because he's sleeping with it).
