Packed

by Martha

233 boxes and two days later...

Front entryway, standing from the stairwell

Madison's room containing both her stuff and Luke's

Master bedroom

Master bathroom

Bonus room looking toward bedroom #4

Note the 233 boxes doesn't include any furniture...they had to number each box. Our stuff will head to storage at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma for a week or so since it was due to be delivered July 18, and due to the course Edward has to do here at Bragg, we won't get there until July 24.

Thanks to those of you who have asked about our housing. It's a source of GREAT stress for me right now. Unfortunately, there is no change, other than to say that two families moved into housing this week, both without kids, and were given four-bedrooms (same rank as us we're told). We're still assigned to the vacant (yes, it's ready to go and could have been given to the couples coming in) three-bedroom. I laugh when I look at the boxes labeled "bonus room" etc. and think that we have no bonus room etc. to put the boxes at our new house.

The moving truck is scheduled for Thursday, as they originally gave us three days for packers. The packers finished today, early, so the truck may or may not come tomorrow. By Thursday, however, we'll be loaded and closed on the house (as long as the HUD statement comes in from the buyer's mortgage company!).
