Day two (Friday) started with dropping Daddy off at his conference around 7 AM. Mommy brought us back to the hotel, and we immediately went to the beach. Mommy figured we should play out there before getting ourselves all nicely dressed. After we played on the beach for awhile, we got ready and drove about 20 minutes south to the outlet mall. Mommy really wishes she'd taken the camera to the outlet mall, but who would have thought?? We were parked at the wall...the wall separating Mexico from the United States. Man, we would have totally taken some pictures. The car looked at Mexico all day while we shopped. Not to worry...great outlet mall, so we'll be heading back. It was really wild to have the back wall of the outlet mall be "the wall." After shopping for awhile, we headed back to the hotel to play on the beach again and then we picked up Daddy from his long day of conference meetings.
After we got Daddy, we brought him back to the hotel. With his conference, he hadn't had time to spend on the beach, so we decided to play on the beach a little before getting dinner in town.

We're holding live clams. Well, actually, Madison is throwing one at Luke. It barely missed him.
Great evening on the beach...we followed up with a nice seafood dinner in town (well, a clothing change was ordered first). Luke was so tired (he didn't take a nap at all while shopping), that he fell asleep on the five minute drive and slept through dinner. This kid doesn't miss a meal, so we were all shocked. He woke up on the drive back where in just about five minutes, he downed half of a grilled cheese sandwich and some fresh fruit.

We use to love going to San Deigo as children. Good times.
Great pictures! We are all very sad about not going to the beach this year, but I'm hoping Disney World will make my kids just as happy. :-)
