The Coronado-San Diego Bay Bridge...we're leaving Coronado and heading back into downtown San Diego. The bridge is a U shape. You can see it started off really overcast.
The port
Hard to capture, but the stadium in the center of the picture is where the Padres play baseball. That was across the street from the convention center where Daddy had his conference (waterfront).
Flamingo sighting! Yea!
Madison LOVED seeing the flamingos.
Petting the stingrays...Aunt Jennifer would be proud!
Waiting for the dolphin show
Sweet Luke (most of the time!)
Madison was also very proud of her newly purchased sunglasses. She picked these out (on clearance of course) at Gymboree at the outlet mall.
Dolphin show
They did a lot of tricks.
Luke really enjoyed watching the dolphis. He was really able to see them well.
Luke's favorite part
Taking a picture with a three-year-old isn't easy. "Fake" smiles appear often.
Sesame Street Kids' Area (awesome!)-Madison had a great time here.
There was even a little show while we were in the play area.
Luke didn't play at Sesame Place...he fell asleep instead. Jen, remember when we got him these shoes at Smithfield before I moved? They were "way too big" then, and that was two months ago!
Still sleeping
Up in time for the Shamu show
Shamu
Yeah, that's why we didn't sit in the "Splash Zone."
Both kids enjoyed the huge whale, as Madison called it.
Checking out the penguins, live and toys, before we left. No, we didn't take this home. We had a great day at Sea World, staying over eight hours. It's a fun, clean park to enjoy.
On the three-hour drive home, we stopped at Bennigans for dinner. We hadn't eaten at one since living in Ft. Lauderdale. Madison thought it was the Backyardigans, and she kept asking for the characters while we ate. Still, she says, "Remember the other day when we ate at Backyardigans?"
That's okay though, because she thought in traveling to San Diego, we were going to find and meet "Diego."
Home at 10:30, back to the normal routine.
