San Diego-More Fun in the Sun

by Madison and Luke

Saturday morning, we dropped Daddy off at his conference again. On the way back to the hotel, we stopped at the Commissary (grocery store) on the Naval Base to stock up on some groceries our commissary doesn't have. Our commissary is somewhat of a joke. It's so small and has a very limited stock. The prices, no matter what commissary, are awesome. After we picked up some groceries, mainly cereal, we went to the beach.

Mommy was quite the site as she lugged both of us, beach chairs, sand toys, towels, and snacks down to the beach. We didn't help much either. Well, Madison wore her backpack chair, but Luke demanded to be carried. He didn't like the sand for some reason (it wasn't hot), and he just stood on the sand and cried. So, Mommy had to carry him, along with everything else. Normally, we take our beach stroller, but the movers broke it too...notice a trend with our horrible movers? Then, once we got setup, Madison had to use the bathroom twice within a half hour, which meant for a trip back to the hotel, twice. After that, Mommy decided our beach time was over. In spite of all that, we enjoyed our beach day.
Finally! We're all setup, so it's time for a snack. We LOVE the new chairs Mommy bought us before our trip. Luke is obsessed with sitting in beach chairs, and Mommy found these on a 90% clearance. Good shopping.

We don't mess around with drink boxes.

Snacks! Cheetos and Goldfish...yummy. Sand in them, not so yummy.

Saturday night, we picked up Daddy and ventured to Old Town, an area of San Diego reminiscent of Williamsburg. It's setup as with the old Spanish style missions to tour. We ate dinner at a delicious Mexican restaurant, walked around, and of course, had some ice cream before going back to the hotel.
