Congrats to Uncle Clay, who became the Company Comander of a military intelligence company in North Carolina. It's a National Guard Company, and many of you might have thought he got out of the Army, but nope, he's back in. His company now falls under the leadership of the 86th Mountain Infantry based in Vermont (thanks for all the details, Aunt Karen). Basically, his group, located in NC, is attached to the larger group, located in VT. He and his men will deploy with this Vermont group in early 2010 to Afghanistan. Many of you also know Uncle Clay spent 16 months in Afghanistan already, so it will be a return trip for him. While we never want to see any of our family or friends go off to war, we are very proud of them and support them always.
