YPG Fall Festival

by Madison and Luke

YPG held a Fall Festival last night, right here on post. It was a really nice way for a small community to get together and enjoy the kids in their costumes. Different games and events were held, even a bounce house. It ended up being a really nice, laid back evening out here in the desert.

The festival was held at the end of our street on the parade grounds. We posted pictures of the parade grounds awhile back when the soliders jumped onto it. It's about a half a block away. The festival ran from 6-8, but it gets dark out here by 6:00 PM. We're told that by mid-winter, it's dark here at 4:30! Most of the festival activities were held within the baseball field on the parade grounds because of the lights. We all had a nice time.

Here we are! It might look like we are dressed for colder weather, but it was 90 degrees. A princess and fireman...we're ready to take on this place.

Another decent picture of us!

Gracie and I enjoyed a lot of the toys on the obstacle course.
Luke really liked the slide.
We even enjoyed it together.
More kids joined us. Taylor, the witch, wanted to slide too.

With Gracie again...Luke's hands are trying to climb up too.

Gracie and I took a break from the bounce house.

Luke, back on the slides.

I actually visted my baby cactus on the way to the festival, but blogger messed up the picture order, and it won't let us move the pictures around today.

We ran into some of our neighbors, Emily and Adam, a.k.a. Wonder Woman and Batman, on the way to the festival. They moved here from Ft. Bragg just a couple of weeks after we did.

More time in the bounce house

Below here is our friend, Baby Kate, and Mommy's friend, Heather.

After this, we are all really looking forward to trick-or-treating. We think our house will be hit really hard this year with trick-or-treaters!
