Arriving at the NC Zoo...Mommy snapped this from the car.
We parked, and there was Aunt Mer! It was amazing she knew just where to find us.
We both really enjoyed the large turtles.
Wow, they are big!
Luke just enjoyed hanging out in the stroller. He was pretty mild-mannered most of the day.
Madison wanted to stand on the sit-n-stand, but she made sure to buckle in her zebra. She brought her zebra along to meet the zebras at the zoo.
An added bonus to the zoo-a playground
Besides just sitting, Luke spent the majority of his time eating animal crackers.
He also reflected on life...
The cows a.k.a. bison were of interest to Madison.
However, the carousel was of the greatest interest...notice the Tiger, Clemson girl in training.
Luke finally perked up for some ice cream. Thanks for sharing, Aunt Mer!
We all enjoyed the new elephant exhibit. It had been added since our last visit.
Madison loved the "my size" elephant.
Finally, the zebras!
Mommy got tired of pushing almost 75 lbs. of the stroller and two of us combined up the hills of the zoo, so Aunt Mer relieved her for awhile.
The zebra didn't seem to mind the ostrich family that walked in.
Madison's "duck"
A fun day must come to an end. Mommy and Luke took a break to wait for the shuttle back to the car.
Madison joined in as the shuttle bus pulled up. It scared her at first, but the bus ride became the highlight of the day.
Ahhh, back home
Madison quickly ran to play in the backyard. She got her baby, Hannah, up from her "nap" to take her to the zoo.
