by Madison and Luke
Our house has been on the market for two weeks now. We've had really bad weather with a ton of rain, etc. Since Madison's birthday party last summer, we've had a horrible drought with no rain. Well, just about the day our house went up for sale, it started to rain. That's kept many people from home shopping. Well, Saturday, we had our first house showing, and yes, it was raining. But, it was also the one day we've had the house torn up...it was Luke's first birthday party. Day in and day out, Mommy has been cleaning, organizing, and making sure the house is spotless. It's really annoying that we can't even go on a simple walk without putting all toys away, vacuuming the floor, etc. All of this has been to no avail, as no one has come by to look at the house. Then, bring on Saturday, when Mommy said she expected people would come to look at the house because we had something scheduled.
We had a really nice birthday party for Luke, and just as we were cutting the cake, phone call...a realtor will be there between 2-4 to show your house. Okay, it's 1:30 or so, and we have 20+ adults and 12 kids three and under. Thanks to the help of our family and friends, we got things cleaned up really quickly. Oh, and the realtor didn't come until 4:15. Such is life I suppose. Now someone, just buy our house!
