With a high of 103, it was the perfect day for the Yuma Proving Ground pool to open. Had we not had church, I think Madison would have been first in line for the opening of the pool. However, we still made an afternoon of it, hanging out there with many of our friends and neighbors. It's going to be a long, hot summer, but with our really nice pool and splash area, the heat should be a little more tolerable.
Amazingly, Luke had a blast. Lately, he's been really afraid of the pool, refusing to go in it at hotels. We were worried about him this summer, but he rode around in his float quite a bit, even with the cold water.
Madison, as usual, loved every minute and is really looking forward to swimming lessons. They'll start in June, and it should be a regular party for her, as most of her friends will probably be in her swim class.
Maybe we'll get some pictures next weekend. We didn't try today just because we were hoping for smooth start to pool season.
Oh, tomorrow's high is also a "pleasant" (yeah, right) 103.
