Yuma Update

Since receiving official orders, we've made some progress with our move status.

We've faxed the application for on post housing, and everything looks good. Edward talked to the housing office, and we're supposed to be getting a brand new house. They said it's not even finished yet. She said she had two that were scheduled to be done right around our arrival time, so it should be one of those. We are slated for a four bedroom, so hopefully, things will be very similar to what we have now. Currently, we have a four bedroom, three bathroom. I believe everything out there is a two bath, which is fine. The departing doc out there said both of the two homes (looks like they are across the street from each other) were really nice.

Edward is traveling out there in June to meet the departing doc and tour around. I'm traveling too, but we'll be traveling on different days/airlines/airports. Luckily, we'll be able to stay in the BOQ on base while we are there. We're both looking forward to the trip, as neither of us have ever been to Yuma. I'm really hoping to square away a preschool for Madison. That's a top priority, along with getting a new cell phone! I've needed to get one for years (yes, years), but Edward always seems to take priority...loses one, breaks one, etc. So, we found out our service through Sprint doesn't work there, so after 10 years with the service, we'll be switching. So, we've got a few things to do...The kids are going to Wilmington where they will stay with my parents for a few days.

Edward will be going to the Transportation Briefing this week. After he attends that, we'll be able to setup the dates for the packers/movers and begin this whole process.

On the homefront, we had our appraisal this week and haven't heard back yet. The inspection is this week, and hopefully all of that goes smoothly.
