Actually, it's raining quite a bit, and it's supposed to be a rainy day all day. I can't remember the last time I've seen rain, certainly not rain like this. This is a first for us here.
And yes, the roads are flooded. Rain doesn't mix well with this desert sand. Last time it rained, we got about a 1/4 inch, and it was enough to close both the Arizona road into town and the California road into town. Yuma is directly south of us, but due to a huge mountain range in the way, there is a road looping to the east and one to the west. East is the AZ road, and west is the CA road. You can take either to get into Yuma, but both are flooded today. We normally go the AZ side because the road is much better...come on Governor Terminator, update your roads!
